YouTube star iDubbbz is already planning to return to the boxing ring, and will bring back his Creator Clash brand after a successful night at the box office.
Ian Carter, who has over 10million subscribers across his various YouTube channels, was defeated by Doctor Mike Varshavski in his debut on Saturday night after bulking up 40lb to make the cruiserweight limit. Carter impressed fans with his ability to keep pushing forward despite being in there with a bigger and more experienced opponent, and is now eyeing up a return to the lower weights.
IDubbbz vs Doctor Mike drew just over 100,000 buys on pay-per-view provider Moment House, with eight other YouTube bouts making up an exciting night of action. Carter promoted the event alongside his wife Anisa Jomha, who had planned to fight until an injury forced her out of contact sports forever.
"I'm feeling super happy about it," Carter told Mirror Fighting in an exclusive chat after the event. "I trained very hard, I always knew that the Doctor Mike fight was going to be tough for me, and there are tools in my tool belt that I think I could have whipped out during the fight.
"But the heat of the moment definitely got to me, I didn't utilise all of my tools but I'm ready to do it next time for sure. I think it would be fun to do it again, I learned a lot from my loss and I think I'll be super prepared for my next fight and I'm keen to do it again as long as my fans are interested in watching me do it again.
"Anisa and I loved the promoting aspect, it was good that we had control over all the fighters that we brought on the card. That made it a lot more fun because we can keep it to people that we vibe with a little bit more, it makes for a different energy.
"I think that having a different energy for a boxing event is good for everyone. It makes the space bigger and introduces a whole new category of people to boxing."

Carter got into boxing training early last year, having done brief sessions in the lead-up to a possible bout in 2016 that never materialised and playfully sparring comedian Sam Hyde during a documentary shoot in March of 2021. But he got into fight shape, and was able to attack his opponent all the way through five rounds of two minutes despite his move up in weight.
He is now looking to entertain fights with the likes of Alex Wassabi, among other YouTube stars, but wants to now move back down to a more natural super middleweight frame. "I think anyone in their ideal weight class would be matched up as cleanly as possible," he added.
"That's the fairest way to go, and yeah I would definitely like to take on someone more my height and weight. Alex would be a great opponent, we've messed around before in the ring so him or anyone in the right weight class I'm down to fight."
