YouTube group Sidemen to release Netflix documentary

We're about to see a whole new side to the wildly popular YouTubers group the Sidemen this Valentine's Day with the release of a new Netflix documentary.

The Sidemen Story gives unprecedented access to the group, who went from bedroom gamers to global internet sensations, and promises to be a deeply personal look at the group's individual members, away from their comic online personalities.

The Sidemen began making videos in 2013 and their YouTube empire now stretches across five channels, including a Spanish one. They have almost 21 million subscribers on their main YouTube channel.

In the 100-minute film, Ethan Payne, Harry Lewis, Joshua Bradley, KSI, Simon Minter, Tobit "Tobi" Brown and Vikram "Vik" Barn, speak about topics from online trolls to anxiety and almost losing one of their members to suicide, along with other trying periods in their lives which have tested their friendship.

Founding member of the Sidemen, Barn said: “We’ve always tried to be open and honest about the highs and lows we’ve faced. What began as friends coming together to create fun content has evolved into so much more and shaped who we are as individuals today.

"Our success isn’t measured in streaming numbers or likes; it’s about the connections we’ve built with fans and the real moments we’ve shared along the way. We look forward to sharing a glimpse into the laughter, challenges, and teamwork that defines the Sidemen spirit.”

KSI, another founding member, added: "Me and the boys are really grateful to our audiences around the world for supporting us on this incredible journey. None of this would be possible without them so this one is for the fans. Let's goooo."
