Youri Tielemans is looking for an attractive project if he decides to leave Leicester City this summer. Talk raged in the East Midlands for much of the season regarding his future and that has continued into the summer.
There was an expectation that suitors would circle after the Foxes missed out on European qualification but a below-par campaign for Tielemans left him short of offers. Arsenal were heavily linked with him as well as both Tottenham and Manchester United but none of those clubs have deemed an approach worthwhile as of yet.
In the last few days, a handful of reports have claimed Newcastle United are the most recent team to consider a bid for Tielemans. Eddie Howe is understood to be interested in adding another midfielder to his squad this summer and the Belgian international could be available a cut-price with just 12 months left on his Leicester contract.

Although, the player himself has admitted he is not in any rush to make a decision and there is still every likelihood he could stay at the King Power Stadium. That said, his comments during the recent round of international fixtures will have piqued the interest of Magpies supporters as he mentioned he is keen to be part of a ‘great project’.
"You have to stay calm. I'm fine where I am, I still have a year of contract,” said Tielemans. “I'm not in a hurry at all. When you change clubs, you don't change to change.
“You change because there is a great project on the table. For a football player, the most important thing is to play. It will be up to me to take the right decision regarding my future this summer but here, I am very quiet and I focus on the devils [Belgium national team]."
There is certainly a great project on unfolding at St James’ Park, as has been mentioned by each of the new signings since last year’s takeover. Although, the lack of European football will make it extremely tough to attract Tielemans who has made it clear he wants to play at the very top level if he does leave Leicester.
