Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has broken his silence after failing to secure a move away from the King Power Stadium in the summer, with Manchester United touted for a transfer.
The Belgian international was heavily linked with a move to United in the summer transfer window, however, the club — nor anyone else — elected not to make an official bid for the 25-year-old before the window closed. The Foxes have endured a nightmare start to the new season and have recorded just one point so far this term, with Brendan Rodgers' side being the only team in the league yet to win this campaign.
Despite this, Tielemans says he does not regret not leaving Leicester in the summer, despite the club’s winless start to the season. The midfielder also hinted that he could yet sign a new deal with the club, even though he reportedly rejected new terms in the summer.

United are said to be monitoring the 25-year-old's current situation, with Tielemans' contract expiring in 2023. Since moving to Leicester in 2019 in a deal worth £40.5million, the Belgian star has made 50 goal contributions in 166 games, helping the Foxes win the 2021 FA Cup.
"I'm not going to speak too much about my contract situation at the moment. I didn't leave Leicester in the summer as I always said the project had to be the right one," said Tielemans.
"Just because things are getting worse now at Leicester doesn't mean I should regret [staying]."
The midfielder featured for Leicester in the 1-0 defeat against Erik ten Hag's side earlier this month, with Jadon Sancho scoring the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute.
