RIMOWA TEAMS UP WITH TIFFANY & Co.

RIMOWAxTiffany (RIMOWAxTiffany)

We’re half way through fashion month, which means that Rimowa suitcases are working overtime. While the black and silver cases are always a style-set no brainer, the luxury luggage maestros also have an eye for a seriously-desirable, seriously-collectable collaboration (think Supreme to Fendi, Off-White to Dior, Daniel Arsham to Alex Israel). Their latest power partnership? With Tiffany & Co. for the ultimate first class travel experience. In a capsule featuring jewellery cases and a Cabin bag, details include a Rock Cut pattern inspired by a diamond’s facets and unmistakable Tiffany blue detailing, such as handles and wheels. The collaboration was teased at the New York leg of SEIT 1898, the travelling exhibition celebrating Rimowa’s 125th anniversary. SEIT 1898, which makes its onward journey to Shanghai and Cologne, celebrates the stories of the materials, craftsmanship, people, and places that define the Rimowa legacy. Alongside the thorough deep dive into the maison’s provenance it also looks at the personal stories behind the cases, exhibiting the well-travelled luggage belonging to the likes of Patti Smith, Billie Eilish and LeBron James; plus Spike Lee, Martha Stewart and Justin Theroux (who all attended the exhibition opening). Available from 26th September at rimowa.com

Good news, chaps, no more wondering if your other half’s crystal top will fit you; 16Arlington’s menswear has landed at long last. A COLLABORATION TO KNOW: MAISON MARGIELA X PENDLETON

(Maison Margiela x Pendleton)

Fusing together the unique aesthetic language of Maison Margiela’s creative director John Galliano with the rugged heritage of 160-year-old American brand Pendleton, the two labels’ dynamic new collaboration transports Parisian knowhow to the Oregon plains. A shared love of craftsmanship - Galliano presides over Margiela’s haute couture atelier, while Pendleton employs old-world looms and traditional methods of dyeing in the creation of its woven plaids - is a common thread. Galliano picked three mid-century weaves from the Pendleton archives: a red buffalo pattern, a sunset plaid in pink and blue pastels, and a windowpane check in red, white and black, magicking them into outerwear, tailoring, dresses, rompers, denim pieces and shirting informed by the Southern Gothic themes of the collection.

RIHANNA DEBUTS NURSING BRAS

She did pregnancy reveal #1 in rare, vintage Chanel. She did reveal #2 at the Superbowl. Rihanna has rewritten the rules of what maternity style (‘maternity style’ formerly an oxymoron) looks like. And now, she’s sprinkling a bit of that magic to bleary-eyed postpartum days – and, obviously, nights. Riri’s latest act: a Savage Fenty maternity bra, as modelled by herself and (awwww) son RZA.

MARC

Kim Kardashian for Marc Jacobs

Of course these two were gonna get it on – artistically speaking – eventually. Marc Jacobs has signed up Ms. Kimberly Kardashian for his already-going-viral winter 2023 campaign. Hard into it.

Purveyors of superior party shoes, London brand D’Accori have landed at Harrods’ Shoe Heaven with a planetary pop-up showcasing the best of the brand’s Pre-Fall ’24 collection. Obviously there are some rather zhuzhy, daring disco platforms and mules (metallic satin! Crystal straps! Architectural heels!); but for those who want to keep their feet firmly on the ground – founder Mo D’Accori is debuting his first line of flats, too.
