Police in North Belfast say they found an offensive weapon on a young person on Monday night. PSNI say they found the item while clamping down on anti-social behaviour (ASB) on Clifton Street, Henry Place and Denmark Street.
The young person allegedly found with the weapon was among three "dealt with" by officers before 9pm. Police took to social media to urge the public to keep tabs on the young people they are responsible for.
A Facebook post by Police North Belfast at 9.02pm showed an officer monitoring a large bank of live CCTV cameras. It said: "Tonight we are dealing with ASB in the area of Clifton Street, Henry Place & Denmark Street."

The post continued: "Please check where your young people are. So far we have dealt with three young people for offences including possession of an offensive weapon. Please report on 101."
