An investigation is underway after a young woman was found seriously injured on the side of a road in Cork.
She was found on Sheepwalk - a country lane off the main N72 Mallow to Fermoy road - on Saturday.
Gardai say they are investigating an alleged serious assault of a woman aged in her 20s.
Their enquiries are ongoing.
A Garda spokesperson told Cork Beo: "Gardaí in Fermoy are investigating an alleged serious assault of a woman in 20s at Sheepwalk, Fermoy on the 19th of November, 2022,
"Enquires into the matter are ongoing. No further information is available at this time."
