Gardai have arrested a woman in her 30s after seizing cash and drugs during a recent operation.
Officers attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a residence in the Dublin 1 area.
It took place at around 8:00 pm on Thursday and was part of an ongoing investigation preventing the sale and supply of drugs in Ireland.
A statement released by gardai today detailed the bust and said a total of €105,660 in cash was found at the property and €5,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb.
The drugs have been sent for analysis at this point.
The woman who was arrested at the scene was taken to Store Street Garda Station where she is currently under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
The full statement from an Garda Siochana said: “On Thursday, 3rd March 2022, Gardaí attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a residence in the Dublin 1 area.
“The search, which was part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs, took place shortly before 8pm.
“A total of €105,660 in cash was seized at the property along with €5,000 in suspected cannabis herb (subject to analysis).
“A woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and taken Store Street Garda Station where she is currently under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.”
Investigations are ongoing.
