Young sparks: the Hunter schoolmates building a candle empire

At the ripe old age of 12, two mates from the Hunter Valley decided it was time to launch their first business. Now aged 14, Jake Rooney and Lucas Dagg run a very successful side hustle producing and selling artisan candles via their business Wick Boys.

The idea for candle production came from identifying a gap in the market.
