It was five months ago that ‘Ibha’ -- the Asiatic lioness -- was unveiled as the mascot for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be hosted in India. And, with seven months to go for the premier football tournament, the Indian Women raised the hopes of the nation by clinching the SAFF U-18 Championship in Jamshedpur, beating Bangladesh on better goal difference.
With this maiden trophy, there emerged a group of Indian lionesses that is egging to further their performance and bring the country more laurels on the international stage.
