A mother and her baby are among three people tragically killed after a tree fell onto them during an Easter egg hunt in northern Germany.
Police said strong winds caused the 100ft tree to collapse onto a group of new and expectant mothers and their children during celebrations on Sunday morning.
The incident happened in woodland in Satrupholm, near Flensburg, where around 50 people had gathered for the event.
Four people were reportedly trapped beneath the tree when it fell.
Emergency services were called at around 11am, with about 80 responders attending the scene.
A 21-year-old woman and her 10-month-old daughter died, along with a 16-year-old girl.
An 18-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries by emergency services.
Images published by the Bild news website show Easter eggs scattered across the ground, with two of the victims covered by white sheets.
Grief counsellors were also sent to the scene to help survivors, it is understood.
It comes as strong winds are currently moving across Germany, prompting severe weather warnings.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued widespread warnings for wind and storm gusts as a cold front moves from the North Sea into central Germany.
Gusts are widely reaching 55–70 km/h, with more severe conditions present in coastal areas and higher elevations, with gusts up to 85 km/h.
