Holly McNamara has been recognised for her starring role with the Matildas, the young star coming within a whisker of being crowned Asia's top women's soccer player.
The 22-year-old striker was named runner-up on Thursday with Japan's Hana Takahashi named Asian player of the year at a gala ceremony in Riyadh.
