Tommy Fury has been pictured with Irish boxer Cathal Crowley at his Bolton-based training camp ahead of his fight against Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia.
Crowley, who competes at light-heavyweight, has a 1-0 professional record following his pro debut victory last November. Although, the Cork native's amateur record was 5-7.
Fury (8-0), younger brother of Tyson Fury, is preparing for Paul (6-0) as he aims to hand the 26-year-old his first professional loss. The Diriyah Arena plays host to the bout at a catchweight of 185 pounds over eight scheduled rounds on February 26.
Paul, however, ridiculed Fury for not appearing at Wednesday's press conference in Saudi Arabia and labelled him "unprofessional." Fury dismissed Paul's claims.
“I can clear that up in two seconds. Basically, Jake Paul signed up into the world of professional boxing and I am a professional athlete, a professional boxer," Fury told MMA Fighting.
“I always have been and [ask] any professional boxer and they’ll tell you this, no one breaks camp, mid to the end [of training camp] to fly all the way to Saudi Arabia, have a 10-minute press conference, fly all the way back to Manchester, complete my camp then fly all the way back to Saudi Arabia again the following week.
“Now, why the press conference couldn’t wait until a week later on fight week is beyond me. Most big fights, they schedule press conferences on fight week. I don’t know what is going on there.”
