In the wake of Netflix canceling both Bling Empire and Bling Empire New York, reality TV watchers should rejoice knowing that Young, Famous & African season 2 is here. Similar to the former two shows, Young, Famous & African follows the fabulous lives of a group of friends use to a lavish lifestyle. However, what sets the series apart, is that the cast is made up of well-known people from various countries throughout the continent of Africa. 

Now in its sophomore season, the show is taking things up a notch with some additions to the cast, as well as some surprising beefs. What else is going on in the new episodes?

Young, Famous & African season 2 premieres on Friday, May 19 on Netflix. Coincidentally, this day also marks the return of Selling Sunset season 6.

Season 2, episode 1: "Awkward Reunions"
"A party at Diamond's house brings the whole crew back together, but unresolved quarrels turn a long-awaited reunion into an awkward affair."

Season 2, episode 2: "Masks Off"
"In the studio, Diamond and Fantana mix business with pleasure. Gossip around Annie's marriage spreads. Khanyi throws a masked party to clear the air."

Season 2, episode 3: "Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend"
"Tired of rumors around her personal life, Annie speaks publicly. While the men catch up on the court, the women attend a sensual painting party." 

Season 2, episode 4: "The Queen B"
"The fallout between Annie and Swanky divides the group. Emotions run high after Luis and Bonang clash, and 2Baba makes a controversial comment." 

Season 2, episode 5: "Showdown"
"Swanky and Annie have a heart-to-heart — but can they fix their friendship? A polo game brings drama while not everyone feels welcome in the group." 

Season 2, episode 6: "Oh Baby!"
"Luis makes a startling revelation. Andile seeks to resolve bad blood between his two past love interests — but tensions flare at Zari's birthday." 

Season 2, episode 7: "Trailer Proposal"
"The group takes a trip to Cape Town as Luis and Swanky continue to spar. Naked considers taking the next step in his relationship with Kayleigh." 

Season 2, episode 8: "Gloves Off"
"Fantana begins to doubt Diamond's interest, while Zari has her own beef. Andile faces a tough dilemma. Naked's "proposal" leaves Kayleigh confused."

Season 2, episode 9: "Trials and Tribulations"
"Bad blood between Fantana, Zari and Diamond begins to boil over. Annie and Swanky get to the heart of their feud and Naked makes a grand gesture."

Here is the official synopsis for the series: 

"Young, Famous & African returns, following a group of glitzy and affluent media personalities from across the continent. All Kings and Queens of their fields, these jet setters see their relationships tested as new cast members crash the party.”

The series’ vets are joined this season by newbies Bonang Matheba (television and radio host), Fantana (musician),  Luis Munana (model/TV presenter), Sebabatso Mothibi (model) and Rosette Ncwana (actress).
