Young drivers have been issued a warning after a study has found the most common driving offences.
According to a study by insurance company Hastings Direct over half of young drivers (aged 17- 25) offences are related to speeding and 23,000 traffic offences relate to driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
The maximum fine for speeding is £1,000, or £2,500 if you were driving on a motorway, and you could lose your driving licence or have is suspended. The amount you're fined depends on what the speed limit was and how much over it you were driving. It's usually a percentage of your weekly income.
