Young couple buying first home laughed at by family who thought it was too much work

A young couple buying their first home together have admitted they were 'laughed at' by family and friends for purchasing a house because they thought it would be 'too big' a job to transform it into a home.

Amy Wright, 24, and partner David Lavery, 25, ignored doubters and decided to purchase the property in just ten minutes and now plan to move in before the end of the year.

The pair have been searching for a home to call their own amidst a currently turbulent property market. After having no luck with new builds the couple decided to try their luck by searching for an older property to transform into a home, reports the Liverpool Echo.
