The Maya Joint party in Hobart has come to an end just one stop short of the final, but there's hope her gatecrashing ways will continue at the Australian Open.

Rising Australian teenage star Joint was crushed 6-2 6-3 by second seed Elise Mertens in Friday's semi-final showdown at the Hobart International.
