Ultrafast Internet provider YouFibre has connected its first customer in East Kilbride marking its first step into Scotland.
The company, which recently announced its 5000th customer, was founded in 2019 and has seen exponential growth in recent months as it expands its offer across the UK.
YouFibre offers its customers speeds of up to 10 Gbps in East Kilbride, compared to the UK average of 79.1Mbps, enabling its customers reliable ultrafast speeds.
Martin, YouFibre’s first customer in East Kilbride, said: “It’s fantastic to have found an internet provider that meets all our needs at home, and is not just reliable but also offers ultrafast speeds.
"Having a young family at home meant it was extremely important to us to find a service that allowed for multiple devices to stream the internet at once and YouFibre does just that.
"The switch couldn't have been smoother and the customer service has been fantastic.”
YouFibre runs on full fibre broadband network operators, such as Netomnia.
Full-fibre uses fibre-optic cables to deliver broadband direct to properties, providing faster, more reliable speeds and service than copper-based networks used by many broadband providers, providing a future-proofed network.
YouFibre offers a range of packages, starting at £22 per month, increasing to £40 per month for hyperfast broadband services.
Ryan Battle, managing director of YouFibre, said: “I’m very excited to be connecting our first customer in Scotland just shortly after we achieved our 5000th customer milestone. It’s brilliant to see the impact that our service is having on people’s lives.
"Our ultrafast internet speeds in East Kilbride will ensure households and business broadband users will be able to do just about anything they want online no matter the time of day, whilst also being able to stream in ultra-HD across multiple devices at once. We look forward to welcoming more customers on board.”
YouFibre has over 80 per cent of customers rating its service as ‘excellent’ on Trustpilot.
