Tens of thousands of high school graduates are set to learn their offers to study university degrees or TAFE courses in Victoria.
Some 42,929 offers will be emailed out by the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre on Thursday morning, with four out of five students getting their first or second study preference.
It is the state's biggest dump of December offers, up 2334 from last year's first round.
Society and culture (19.75 per cent), health (17.62 per cent), and management and commerce (15.72 per cent) were the three most popular areas of study.
Health-related courses recorded the largest yearly jump, rising from 16.9 per cent.
The number of teacher course offers (1463) was eight per cent higher compared to the same time in 2022.
The Victorian government has promised scholarships to all students who enrol in secondary school teaching degrees in 2024 and 2025, if they work in state schools for two years after they graduate.
A similar scheme was implemented for new domestic students enrolling in professional-entry nursing or midwifery courses in 2023 and 2024.
VTAC chief executive Teresa Tjia said students should celebrate their offer with their families, friends and teachers.
"Your offer is a fantastic achievement to enjoy these holidays and share with those who have supported you," she said.
Those who do not receive an offer or are reconsidering their study options have until 4pm on Friday to change their preferences.
The next round of Victorian offers will be released on January 12, along with more in January and February.
