A property worth up to £500,000 is available in a new raffle – and the winner can pick the house themselves. Starting at just £5 for three tickets, the budget raffle is offering participants the chance to win a home of their choosing, anywhere in the UK, costing up to half a million pounds.
One lucky winner will be able to select from flats, houses, cottages or any other residential property type in any part of the country. The future homeowner won’t have to pay any legal fees or stamp duty charges either.
Launched by Tramway Path, which to date has helped 10 people land themselves bricks and mortar through its property raffles, this will be their biggest draw yet. The company is run by Daniel Twenefour, alongside brothers Jason and Will, who are committed to “changing people’s lives” by making property ownership more accessible.
“We want to give individuals the freedom to select an area that suits their preferences,” Daniel said, talking about why the company is now letting the winner pick the property.
“We introduced the new model as a result of feedback from our community. We understand that proximity to friends, family, or work can be important to people, and we don’t want to impose any limitations that could get in the way of these connections.”
The draw is open until 20 July and ticket bundles start at just £5 for three entries. Most recently, tech worker Fadzai Angelina Kazarema, 33, from London, won £450,000 to purchase the home of her choice – the purchase of which will be completed this month.
In a video, the brothers meet with Angelina and her mother, describing their reaction to the news. The winner, who currently lives with family, says she was “flaggergasted” when she got the news.
She added: “Everybody was like ‘it’s April Fools, just double check!’ There’s a lot of weight lifted off my shoulders as a result of this.
“That no matter what happens, I’ve got a little bit of time to figure it out.”
Daniel added: “We’ve found purpose in trying to help change people’s lives. It not only brings fulfilment to the winner and our supportive community, but it also genuinely moves us.
“It is truly a blessing to be able to reassure someone who may have faced hardships that they no longer need to worry about owning a home. In addition to this, we’ve got such an amazing community behind us.
“They’re the ones that have made what we do possible. The supportive messages we receive through our social media and emails are a constant source of encouragement.”
