NEW DELHI: Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah emphasised the importance of being proactive, stating that one cannot pre-empt things after delivering a stunning spell on a tricky Nassau County track during India's 8-wicket win over Ireland in the T20 World Cup in New York on Wednesday.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India restricted Ireland to a mere 96 runs, with Hardik Pandya (3/27) claiming three wickets, and pacemen Bumrah (2/6 in 3 overs) and Arshdeep Singh (2/35) chipping in with two each.
