Do you want to play a game? Netflix clearly does, because the streamer has just quietly dropped all 10 entries into the Saw franchise onto the service. This is actually the first time the whole franchise has been available to watch on the same streamer.
The Saw movies tell the story of the fictional serial killer Jigsaw, and the various evil apprentices that follow in his twisted footsteps.
The first movie was a comparatively low budget affair, made for around $1.2 million, but it became an instant word-of-mouth hit thanks to its ingenious premise. Directed by James Wan, it begins with two men: Adam (Leigh Whannell) and Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes), who find themselves trapped in a room with a corpse. As they try to figure out how and why they're there, they discover clues that reveal they each have a very nasty task to complete if they want to make it out alive.
Saw quickly spawned a hugely-successful franchise with a sequel following every year for the next six years. The series took a bit of a pause after Saw 3D in 2010, but resumed in 2017 with the first of three more films. The most recent entry was 2023's Saw X, directed by Kevin Greutert. As of 2026, talk of a new movie continues, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
So if you've never seen the films before, are a die hard fan who wants to rewatch a couple of your favorites, or you're considering a really, really horrible binge watch, then now is your chance.
