Readers can have a commemorative coronation edition of the Daily Mirror delivered to their door in 15 minutes over the royal bank holiday weekend.
The Coronation will be marked by commemorative newspaper pullouts which families keep for decades to remember the moment King Charles III was officially crowned.
In celebration of the historic occasion, Deliveroo is trialling the sale of weekend newspapers via its nationwide rapid grocery delivery service Deliveroo HOP on May 6.
This is the first time that newspapers will have been available on Deliveroo, and if the trial is successful, could become a regular feature on the food delivery app.
Suzy McClintock, Vice President of Grocery & HOP at Deliveroo, said: “No matter how our customers plan to spend the Coronation weekend, for many people this will be a day they want to look back at in years to come.
“Newspapers are the perfect memorabilia to capture a moment in time, so we’re excited to finally offer them to our customers on-demand through Deliveroo HOP.
“We’re continuously looking for new ways to enhance the customer experience and convenience on Deliveroo and if this trial is successful, we hope to make newspapers a regular feature on the app.”
The trial is running from Deliveroo HOP with Morrisons and Deliveroo HOP with Waitrose sites across the country, covering London, Manchester, Cambridge, Brighton and Bristol.
