One lucky person will be paid to lounge around on a beach paradise for a month.
In 2022, Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba hired Tess Gerdemann to be its social media content creator in residence, having received thousands of applications for the role.
The Instagram influencer spent the month "grilling fish on the BBQ on my patio, hanging out in my hammock while reading a good book or doing yoga and listening to the birds."
All the had to do was take some photos and videos that showcase the brand’s “barefoot luxury” and all the “off-the-beaten-path” adventures visitors can have while there.
To sweeten the deal, the hotel threw in airfare, a rental car, and a stipend. Happily for those seething with jealousy at Tess for having bagged what seems like the dream job, the role is now being advertised for 2023.
The lucky winner will live in several of the hotel's rooms across the month, culminating in a luxury jaunt in a casitas, which has a private patio with a barbecue and hammock.
The visitor will be able to cool off from the Caribbean sun in the hotel's two pools, relax in the spa, feast in the restaurant and feel the sand between their toes on the hotel's beach.
To apply for the position, you have to fill out a form and send in your best photos and videos before June 3.
"We are thrilled to be offering this incredible opportunity once again," Shari Sield, the sales and marketing manager at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba, told Travel + Leisure.
"Last year’s collaboration with Tess was a huge success, and we received an overwhelmingly positive response from our guests and followers. We can't wait to see what this year's content creator will come up with to showcase our hotel and our island."
When asked of her time on the island and what she was expecting, Tess said: "“I didn’t really have lot of expectations, instead I tried to just go with the flow.
"Geographically situated in the Caribbean and so far away from The Netherlands, it came as a surprise to me how ‘Dutch’ Aruba is and, at the same time, how a lot of people speak six languages.
"I had people asking me in what language I wish to be answered in, which is wild to me! This, along with Aruba being so welcoming -there is no anti-tourist vibe to be found- makes it a feel-good destination to me.
"I wasn’t expecting Boardwalk to be as lush as it is. From what I saw Aruba seems to have a very desert-kind of look to it, so upon arrival at the property I was surprised by the amount of green.
"Every time I walk through the gate it’s so magical, Boardwalk feels like its own far-flung destination. It never feels crowded, even at high occupancy.
"What was especially surprising to me is the number of lizards, birds and wildlife, that Boardwalk takes great care of. Together with all the lush greens, the hotel gardens almost feel like a bird sanctuary."
Another lucky person who recently bagged a free long holiday is Carly Koemptgen, who was chosen from thousands of applicants to embark on an all-expenses paid trip for the next six months.
The 25-year-old will head off around New Zealand and Australia in a fully equipped van paid for by Deel, a HR company that simplifies the way people work around the world.
Each month Carly - who previously found viral success by creating parmesan garlic pizza rolls - will earn £2,600, as well as a weekly stipend, having had her return flights and all things visa and work approval-related handled by Deel.
"I would like to see the Great Barrier Reef, especially because we don’t know how long it’ll be around," she said when asked what she was most excited about seeing."
