Three prominent Hunter hotels earmarked for high-rise residential development will be spared the wrecking ball by the new owner.
Last year, hospitality behemoth Iris Capital received State Significant Development (SSD) status from the NSW government's Housing Delivery Authority (HDA) for major high-density redevelopment at Hamilton's Sydney Junction Hotel (272 apartments), the Gunyah Hotel (192 apartments) at Belmont and the Argenton Hotel (300 apartments).
