You & A Mate Could Score A Gladiator Trip To Rome By Ordering Dessert And Talk About A Win-Win

Your weekly dessert run just got that much sweeter. (Not that we needed convincing in the first place). Dessert royalty, Oliver Brown, is giving away a free trip to Rome just in time for the release of Gladiator II. Played by heartthrob Paul Mescal, the sequel follows Lucius, the son of OG gladiator, Maximus. My co-worker went to see it and promised it’s just as good as the first, with a twist you won’t see coming.

Learn how you can fight for a chance to win the Gladiator II comp below.

Here’s how you could win a free trip to Rome

To celebrate the release of Gladiator II (in cinemas now), Oliver Brown has created a delicious collection so you can have a taste of Ancient Rome.

No, really, they’ve created pistachio-themed desserts — just like the spectators would have eaten in the Colosseum stands. (Fun fact: Emperor Vitellious introduced pistachios to Roman society in the first century AD.) However, these desserts are more emperor-level, so prepare your thumb up and down motion.

For a chance to win a trip to Rome for you and a mate, all you need to do is head down to Oliver Brown and take a photo or video with the new Emperor’s Collection. The most creative idea will win, so channel our boy Russell’s iconic, “Are you not entertained??”

Post your photo or video reel to Instagram and tag @oliverbrownofficial @ParamountAU #OBxGladiatorII for your chance to win. Make sure to submit by December 4 at 4pm, because you don’t want to miss out on this trip.

Oliver Brown is also slinging 25 Emperor Prize Packs featuring a double pass to see Gladiator II, a movie-inspired sweatshirt, vintage carry-on and hat, as well as an Oliver Brown Pistachio Chocolate Bar.

What’s on Oliver Brown’s The Emperor’s Collection menu

I’m already craving a sweet treat looking at this, so be warned.

The Emperor’s Collection has four pistachio-themed desserts: Pistachio Churros, Waffles, Chocolate (milk and dark) and Crêpe. Luckily, they’re perfect for sharing, because we know you won’t want to give up the Pistachio Papi sauce.

Pair your dessert with a Pistachio Latte or Pistachio Frappe — I’d probably just try both, tbh.

They also have a gift box of four chocolates, including Anton milk ganache with tiramisu, chocolate mousse with cocoa nibs, Coeurs d’amour with strawberry fondant, and Dulce de leche with butter caramel.

I would love to get this as a gift, hint, hint. Credit: Oliver Brown.

What you could experience on your trip to Rome

Gladiator fans, you’re going to froth this trip. You’ll be flying to Rome with accommodation, return flights AND insurance included.

Race in a chariot at a film set replica of the Circus Maximus, recreating the scene from the first film where the Auriga (charioteers) attack the gladiators.

Relax in Roman-inspired baths, just like the Gladiators did after surviving a battle to the death — ooft. Be transported back to the Roman Empire 2000 years ago as your guide brings to life the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill’s basilicas and temples.

Go on a horseback ride through the oldest road in Rome (2,300 years old, to be exact), lined with cypress trees and dotted with ancient ruins and Roman catacombs. Finish your ride off with an authentic Roman organic lunch at the stables.

It wouldn’t be a trip to Rome without enjoying the food and wine, so you’ll be going on a cooking class, winery tour and three-course feast at a historic boutique winery in the heart of the famous Frascati wine region.

You could have all of this just by taking a picture/video of some delicious dessert! Wild. Please take me with you if you win.
