Yorkshire Building Society has appointed a new chair designate to its board.
Annemarie Durbin, currently chair at Cater Allen Private Bank, will join the Bradford-based mutual by the end of the year when she takes over from John Heaps. The qualified lawyer is also a chair of remuneration committee on the boards of Santander UK, Persimmon and Petershill Partners.
She will step down from roles at Santander and Cater Allen to take up the post, which will include a handover period with Mr Heaps, who has been at Yorkshire Building Society for nine years. The move is subject to regulatory approval.
