Georgia tight end Brock Bowers continues to be one of the most popular mock draft theories for the Cincinnati Bengals a few months from the draft.
That’s true of both Bengals fans who want to see Joe Burrow’s offense get another weapon and mock drafts that see the logic in the move as the team heads toward an offseason with Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins slated to be free agents.
In a new two-round mock draft, Bowers goes to the Bengals at No. 18, courtesy of Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy:
We keep seeing Brock Bowers fall to the Bengals and if this happens, the Cincinnati offense gets much more explosive even if Tyler Boyd leaves.
Burrow’s offense doesn’t just get the consensus No. 1 tight end in the class either — it adds help up front, too.
In the second round at No. 49, the Bengals add BYU offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia, a 6’6″, 324-pound prospect who could fight for a starting spot right away.
It’s the sort of one-two punch of a draft class that could end up happening simply because it would be a great need-value mix that fits how the board falls.
