Athletic Club defender Yeray Alvarez has been banned for 10 months after failing a doping test following a Europa League match with Manchester United in May.

Alvarez underwent in-competition doping control after the first leg of Athletic’s Europa League semi-final against United on May 1, which the Spanish club lost 3-0.
