Yazmin Oukhellou has opened up about the terrible flashbacks she has been suffering since the horror crash in July which killed her on-off boyfriend Jake McLean.
The 28-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star has said that she has begun her healing process after the tragic accident in Turkey last month as she broke her social media silence.
Yazmin suffered serious injuries in the crash and she has taken to a wellness retreat at Marrakech so she can start healing.
Taking to her Instagram page on Wednesday, the reality star posted a couple of snaps from her sunshine break as she said it might take some time to be the person she used to be.
Captioning the pictures, Yazmin wrote: "Healing is NOT an overnight process. It takes time. Sometimes you’ll feel like you’re finally getting over something & happy again, and then the wound will reopen when you least expect it.
"Don’t give up, don’t get discouraged. Take each day 1 step at a time. Just try to be in a better place mentally, emotionally and spiritually than you were yesterday."
Yazmin then updated her followers on what has been happening in the past few weeks.
She continued: "I’ve come back to my second home after what I’ve been through and tried to centre myself.
"When those days hit me where I feel like giving up, I practice gratitude and give thanks to even the smallest of things and it really does help. Love Yaz".
In the pics, Yazmin is seen sitting next to a swimming pool in a bikini as she reads a book about Karma.
The TOWIE star was inundated with well wishes with her co-star Dani Imbert among the first to comment, writing: "So proud of you, missing you so much."
Others urged the reality star: "You got this Yaz, slowly but surely."
Yazmin's getaway comes after Jake McLean's funeral in Essex, to which she did not go.
She broke her silence for the first time since the funeral with photos of the pair together.
She wrote alongside the sweet snaps: "I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.
Yazmin continued: "This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.
"I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.
"I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you."
