Yazmin Oukhellou breaks silence amid claims she was 'banned' from Jake McLean's funeral

Yazmin Oukhellou has paid a touching tribute to on-off boyfriend Jake McLean amid claims she was "banned" from his funeral earlier today.

The TOWIE star, 28, was discharged from hospital in July after being left seriously injured in a horror crash that has killed her Jake in Turkey

Doctors reportedly told Yaz she was 'lucky' to have survived, but was left with serious damage to her arm.

Among those attending the funeral earlier today included Lauren Goodger, James Argent and Liam Gatsby, who appeared emotional as they made their way to the church.

Yazmin did not appear to have attended, but took to Instagram this evening to share a heartfelt post about Jake.

She wrote: "I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.

"This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.

"I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.

"I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you.

"Love Yaz."

Her friends flooded the comments with their condolences, with Molly-Mae writing: "I’m so sorry Yazmin. Truly thinking of you."

However, a source told The Sun that Yaz had feared that she wouldn't be able to attend and "her worst nightmare came true when it was made clear that she would not be welcome".

They continued that Yazmin had been left "traumatised" after the crash and that not being able to say goodbye has been "awful" for her.

The insider added: "Yaz insists there was no argument and that Jake and she were happy.”

The Mirror has reached out to Yazmin's reps for comment.
