Fans of the Boston Celtics have rightfully had their attention occupied by the success of their favorite team and the jersey retirement ceremony of one of the greatest big men to play for the storied franchise in Kevin Garnett.
But they might be happy to know that one of their stashed players — Israeli floor general Yam Madar — has been honing his craft overseas playing for Serbian basketball club Partizan NIS of Belgrade. The Beit Dagan native had a solid game while playing in a smaller role than he had playing in his native Israel in an 80 – 72 win over Montegran club Buducnost Voli.
The former No. 47 pick for the Celtics put up 13 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals in 22 minutes of floor time while shooting a sizzling 5-of-6 from the field, and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Check out how Madar has been playing in this highlight clip from that game put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
