Xbox’s next original game is taking shape as the studio behind South of Midnight begins hiring for a mysterious new project

Xbox Games Studio Compulsion Games, known for South of Midnight and We Happy Few, is now hiring to develop a new IP described as “intriguing.”

Compulsion Games released South of Midnight in 2025 to decent reviews from critics, and the game is set to release again in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on March 31.
