XBOX pulls a Molyneux, delays Fable to 2027

With numerous games coming out this year and the fall season already reserved for the biggest game of all time, XBOX chose the smart way forward and delayed Fable into next year. Instead of later in 2026, we’ll get our hands on Fable in February 2027, that is, unless it’s delayed again in the meantime.

XBOX announced the news via X, where it wrote that 2026 was already packed with amazing first- and third-party games for XBOX players to enjoy. “In order to plan our game launches through the holidays, in a way that works best for players, we’re moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves,” they explained, wanting to make Fable stand out among the crowd, which it arguably cannot do with this kind of competition.
