The Xbox Game Studio list of developers has seen some big changes in 2026, with the news that Microsoft is cutting 3,200 employees in a major restructure.
An Xbox Wire post detailing the Xbox Reset memo from CEO Asha Sharma confirmed that certain studios under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella are parting ways, with the likes of Psychonauts and Keeper developer Double Fine and South of Midnight Studio Compulsion Games set to be go independent.
