Xbox Game Pass additions for July include Neon White and Tchia

Xbox has announced eight new games for its Game Pass subscription service to kick off July.

The additions include the fleet-footed shooter Neon White, an overlooked but award-winning cozy game called Tchia, and Super Smash Bros. wannabe Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.

While not as impressive as the June line-up, which was brimming with big hitters like EA Sports FC 24, Octopath Traveller 2, and Still Wakes the Deep, there are still some gems in the new roster.

Check out the full list of games below and read on to discover our top picks from the newcomers.

The following games are being added to Game Pass starting from today:

  • Journey to the Savage Planet – July 3

The following games are leaving Game Pass on July 15, so you’ll have to finish them off before then or purchase them for a 20 per cent discount:

  • Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly
  • Figment 2: Creed Valley
  • Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
  • TOEM
  • The Wandering Village

Highlights

Neon White has an 89 Metacritic score, the highest of the bunch, and it’s easy to see why. In this anime-style platformer, players must complete a heavenly obstacle course in the quickest time possible. Get ready to break out the parkour as you dash and vault across beams and derelict spires above the clouds, all for bragging rights on an online leaderboard that ranks the best players. If you dig Mirror’s Edge and Ghostrunner, you’ll love Neon White.

Tchia, meanwhile, is an adorable open-world adventure that lets you inhabit the creatures and objects on a tropical island. You can “soul jump” into a bird to cover vast distances quickly, explore on four legs as a dog, or become a coconut that gets fired out of a catapult. By embodying the living and inanimate residents of the island, you can solve puzzles and discover hidden areas on your quest to uncover your heritage. When all else fails, whip out your ukulele to clear a path or lull a ferocious beast to sleep.

Finally, Cricket 24 may have received a drubbing from critics, but it’s still the only game in town for cricket fans. England fans may want to right the wrongs of the T20 World Cup by lifting the trophy.
