Xbox CTO shares an explanation of Xbox Live's recent down time, in a refreshing display of transparency

A couple of weeks ago, Xbox's live services suffered the biggest outage in the brand's recent history. For over a day, Xbox players couldn't access online services, their game library both online and offline, their apps, and more.

The outage was so bad it even prevented physical Xbox game discs from working, as it stopped their entitlement checks from functioning.
