Microsoft and Bethesda will show off their upcoming projects as part of not-E3 this year on June 12, the company has announced today. It’ll be broadcast live on Microsoft’s various Twitch, YouTube, and other channels. Show starts at 10am PT, so that’s 1pm Eastern, 6pm UK, 7pm Europe.
What to expect? From Bethesda’s side there’s Starfield on the internal team, then Arkane’s Redfall and the Indiana Jones game from MachineGames. Microsoft has Forza Motorsport in their back pocket, plus the likes of Fable, more Halo, and no doubt a surprise or two. They also mention “partners” so we could see the likes of Square Enix, CD Projekt RED, Activision, Ubisoft or many others make an appearance.
There’s also Game Pass to consider, which is mentioned specifically in the announcement. New, large scale acquisitions for that program – be they full studios or just big games – will be announced as well. Anything on the PC slate is possible.
Given the lack of a real E3, this could be our only major show of the summer. However with Summer Game Fest and it’s attached Tribeca games festival, plus the ease with which a Nintendo Direct or State of Play can be announced, anything could happen.
Naturally, we’ll bring you all the big news the very second it occurs.
