A renter recently approached Reddit with questions after their landlord threatened them with eviction over a minor cleaning oversight. The Reddit user, who posts under the username MelloeSkye, reached out to the r/Renters community to ask if the threat was reasonable after a routine inspection in their Wyoming apartment.
The situation began when the tenant had an apartment inspection. While they had cleaned and vacuumed the space, they admitted to missing a few spots in the kitchen because they were in a rush. They explained, “I had made some banana bread and some of the batter got on the floor, it was a similar shade as the linoleum so i didn’t notice, plus some spots on the counter where i had a small spill, maybe some crumbs.”
