WWE has announced it will return to London for pay-per-view action for the first time in more than 20 years. Money in the Bank is scheduled for July 1 at the O2 Arena.
It will also be the first time the event-titled ladder stipulation will take place not on US soil, as WWE superstars battle it out to retrieve a briefcase that contains a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing over the year that follows.
Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent of WWE said: "The O2 is one of the world’s premier venues and the perfect home for Money In The Bank. We are excited to bring one of our ‘Big 5’ events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to London on July 1.
Christian D'Acuña, Senior Programming Director at the O2 added: "We are honoured to be hosting the first ever Money In The Bank event taking place in the UK here at The O2. We’re looking forward to welcoming back WWE fans to The O2 this summer for an unforgettable night with some of WWE’s biggest Superstars."
This announcement follows the undisputed success of WWE's last UK event Clash at the Castle, which took place in Cardiff in September 2022. It was the first time the company held a stadium-event in the UK since 1992, and captured the imaginations of the British wrestling faithful, breaking records as the most-watched international premium live event in WWE history, the largest European gate ever and sold the most merchandise of any non-WrestleMania event.
WWE Money in the Bank Priority Passes, which include variety of rewards such as premium seating, luxury accomodation and meetings with WWE Superstars, are available here or by calling +1-855-346-7388, with fans able to buy ticket package before they go on sale to the general public.
More information on the event will be announced in the coming weeks, and fans can learn more about registering for general ticket presale opportunities here.
