Tottenham Hotspur have decided to sack women’s manager Rehanne Skinner following a torrid run that has seen the Lilywhites lose nine Women's Super League matches on the bounce.
The decision doesn't come as a major surprise considering the north Londoners currently sit just two points above Leicester City, who are currently bottom of the table. Speaking about the decision to relieve Skinner of her duties, Andy Rogers, who is the Managing Director of Spurs Women, said: "Since joining us in 2020, Rehanne has played an integral role in our development in the women’s game, both on and off the field.
"She has carried out her duties with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail, and we should like to thank her for everything she has done for us over the course of her tenure." After the decision was announced, some Tottenham supporters drew parallels to the current head coach of the men's team, Antonio Conte.

The Italian has come under considerable scrutiny in recent times after his side were eliminated from both the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in the last fortnight. After Skinner's aforementioned departure was announced, some fans took the time to urge chairman Daniel Levy to sack Conte as well.
Here is what a select few on Twitter said.
@CoulsdonTHFC: "Wrong one Daniel #THFC #COYS."
@MelvinChandai: "Should have started with Conte."
@Info1Spurs: "Conte next."
@SpursPost: "You’ve sacked the wrong bloody one. There is a head coach that needs sacking and it’s not the women’s one!!!!"
@andreaspur: "Can't they just sack Levy instead?"
@villager62: "No surprise is it, 1 more to go."
