Wrexham defender Lewis Brunt has joined Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers in the biggest sale of the Hollywood era.

It is understood Bolton have paid an initial £500,000 ($674,000) for the center back, with a further £250,000 ($337,000) available in potential add-ons. The deal makes Brunt the second-biggest sale in Wrexham’s history, surpassing the £450,000 fee received for Neil Roberts when he joined Wigan Athletic in 2000. Bryan Hughes’s £1 million ($1.35 million) move to Birmingham City in 1997 remains the club’s record sale.
