Wren named National Retailer of the Year by British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation

Wren Kitchens has been named National Retailer of the Year at the very first awards bash hosted by the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation.

The government-sanctioned organisation is dedicated to ensuring high standards and quality, having been launched in 2006.

It has recognised the Barton-headquartered giant’s efforts to go above and beyond in all areas of its business, from design to manufacturing and installation - becoming the first and only retailer to achieve such an endorsement.

Wren Kitchens’ installations director, Amanda Smith said: “We are incredibly proud of our efforts as a team, and as a British manufacturing company, we’re delighted to have the trust of the only government-approved institute for the kitchen industry that recognises our commitment to the installers we work with, our customers, as well as our vast range of quality products and expert design service.”

Every single one of Wren’s approved installers is a member of the government-approved institute, which gives customers peace of mind that they are DBS checked, have a proven track record, put health and safety first, are fully insured and work to the highest industry standards.

Wren has won more accolades than any other kitchen retailer with eight impressive gongs under its belt in the last year, while it has received critical acclaim for its Greatest Showman-created television advert. Through the pandemic almost 100,000 kitchens were installed.

With manufacturing around the Humber and more than 100 showrooms nationwide, it is continuing to expand at an unprecedented scale. More than 8,000 staff are now employed.

On the home patch its £120 million manufacturing expansion is firmly pressing ahead at Barton. State-of-the-art machinery has been transported from across the world to fill the heart of the mega kitchen manufacturing and assembly facility which covers some 1.2 million sq ft behind The Nest headquarters off Falkland Way.

Across the Atlantic, Wren is expanding its portfolio of showrooms by opening in a further eight new locations across the Northeast coast this year. The move will create a further 500 jobs in retail, manufacturing, transport and support roles, while signalling an investment of over £6 million in showrooms.
