Wowburger, has revealed "plans" to bring the popular burger chain to the heart of the city centre at the front of the GPO.
In a mock up of what the supposed new store would look like, it can be seen right beside the entrance of Dublin's historic GPO on O'Connell Street.
"Wowburger is set to put its signature red and yellow stamp on Dublin's historic General Post Office building on O’Connell Street! Sticking to our Dublin roots, the newest spot will be located in the heart of the city, where you’ll find a brand-new, custom-built Wowburger serving up our legendary burgers, delicious sides and creamy shakes that you know and love," a press announcement reads.

"You won’t have long to wait either - Wowburger at the GPO is due to open this summer, just in time for a burger by the Liffey!"
Wowburger first opened in The Workman's Club six years ago and has grown into a hugely successful burger chain with restaurants all around the city centre and in locations like Swords, Glasnevin and Artane.
And apparently, its next red and yellow fast food restaurant takes up residence on the facade of perhaps Dublin's most historically significant buildings, the GPO - although perhaps you should check the date on this article.
