Wout Weghorst admits Manchester United are still gunning to win the quadruple this season as the on-loan striker made a bold admission about their promising four-pronged quest for silverware.
Coming up six years since the club last won any trophy, United remain in all competitions this campaign with the next few days set to shape their ambitions. First up is the second leg of their Europa League play-off clash with Barcelona at Old Trafford on Thursday night (8pm) - with the tie delicately poised.
After that, Weghorst and his teammates head to Wembley for their Carabao Cup showpiece with Newcastle on Sunday afternoon. If successful beneath the famous arch, it would be the first silverware United have won since the 2016/2017 season under Jose Mourinho.

United are still in the FA Cup, too, and while they are five points behind table-topping Arsenal, they have not given up hope in the Premier League title race. However, should the Gunners win their game in hand it would put United eight points adrift with 14 matches to bridge that gap.
During his interview with MUFC media, Weghorst said: "It would be a big boost [to beat Barcelona]. But like I said, we are in a good place with real momentum.
"We are still active in these competitions. That's definitely something we want to keep [going] and, of course, the [Carabao Cup] final is coming, but we want to win four trophies."
On the impending showdown with Barcelona on Thursday night, Weghorst added: "It's about winning and it's about trophies, these are the two biggest clubs in the world. It's a game that will be close because both teams have a lot of qualities and it will depend on the performance.
"We have to be at our best and our top level. First of all, we always have to look at ourselves."
