Would the Browns go after WR Mike Evans in 2024 NFL free agency?

The Cleveland Browns will be looking to upgrade the wide receiver position in 2024 NFL free agency. With Mike Evans set to test the market, could general manager Andrew Berry give him a call?

As unlikely as it seemed when the NFL season ended, Evans is expected to hit free agency, which he has never done. Despite turning 31 this upcoming season Evans is still one of the best wide receivers in the game. He had the most receiving yards he has had in a season since 2018 this year with 1,255 yards.

Berry knows the team needs to make things work with Deshaun Watson and some extra firepower would go a long way in making that happen. Berry has shown the ability to manage the cap brilliantly and if Evans is interested he is sure to find a way to make it happen.

The idea of pairing him with Amari Cooper and David Njoku is such an exciting idea, and would create one of the best pass-catching groups in the NFL. One day Evans will find himself in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and he still has plenty left in the tank, Berry should make a run at bringing him to Cleveland.
