NEW DELHI: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam doesn't want to make a big deal out of the Asia Cup's 'Hybrid Model' of hosting, but he does think it would have been wonderful if his nation had hosted the prestigious tournament in its entirety.
The Asian Cricket Council, led by Jay Shah, decided to use a 'Hybrid Model', in which Sri Lanka became the co-hosts of the Asia Cup after it became evident that the Indian cricket team would not visit Pakistan, despite the fact that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had the hosting rights.
