Police are appealing to the public for information about a missing Scots man who has not been seen for almost two years.
Alexander Reid has been reported missing by his worried family. The 43-year-old was last seen around April 2021 in the Pollok area of Glasgow.
He is known to live between Irvine and Stevenston in Ayrshire, as well as the south side of Glasgow. He is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with shaved red/auburn hair.
Chief Inspector Derrick Johnston of Police Scotland said “Alexander, known as Alec or Jimmy, frequently travelled between North Ayrshire and Glasgow and it is not unusual for him to be out of contact with his family and friends for long periods of time.
“However, he normally makes contact with his family on occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. His family have become concerned following no contact over a longer than usual period of time.
“Even if what you know seems trivial or insignificant, please get in touch as every piece of information could help us find out where Alexander may be and provide his family with some answers.”
Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3011 of Monday, January 30, 2023.
