A night out to socialise with online role-playing gamers ended with an alleged sexual assault in a couple's hotel room, a jury has heard.

Victorian man Taylor Johnson pleaded not guilty to the alleged assault of a fellow gamer during a World of Warcraft social weekend in Sydney.
