World Mental Health Day 2026 is being observed on Saturday, October 10, to raise awareness of mental health conditions and encourage action to improve access to care worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) says anxiety disorders affected an estimated 470 million people globally in 2023, making them the most common mental disorders, while only around 27.6% of those affected received treatment. The day provides an opportunity for governments, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to address barriers to care, reduce stigma and strengthen mental health support.
